Willie Diggs Basketball Academy is a fundamentally focused basketball training program dedicated to improving the athletic and academic life of boys and girls ages 8-21.
WDBA teaches the fundamentals of basketball and the latest techniques in ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding, offense, and defense to improve each player’s individual and team skills.
From 3rd graders to high schoolers, the Academy stresses the importance of academic achievement, discipline, hard work, respect, teamwork, and community.

When many programs weren’t willing to give him a real chance, we put him with Willie and we saw improvement almost immediately. Today, our son is choosing between six college offers. Willie truly cares about the kids he works with and is deeply invested in their development, both as players and as people. WHAT WILLIE WAS ABLE TO DO IN JUST 2HRS/WK WAS INCREDIBLE Becoming part of the WDBA program has been one of the best decisions our son has made. In 6th grade he decided that he was ready to focus more on basketball and started training with Willie Diggs 2 days a week and playing for a WDBA team. What Willie was able to do for him in just 2 hours a week was incredible and more than any coach could do in twice the time. His basic skills and fundamentals as well as his Basketball IQ improved very quickly. We saw big results in a short amount of time. We also noticed that his confidence was growing. Nothing could intimidate him anymore. He grew stronger physically and mentally. The individual attention that you get from this program is like no other in the area. Willie has a personal interest in every athlete that trains with him. He sees the potential in each player and has a unique way of bringing it out. Our son has been with Willie for 3 years now. WDBA has become a family for him. He has enjoyed every minute and has never looked back!
OUR EXPERIENCE WAS NOTHING SHORT OF INCREDIBLE Our experience with the WDBA Academy was nothing short of incredible. My son was part of the academy from 6th grade through 12th grade, and the impact it had on both his basketball career and his personal growth is immeasurable. While the skill development and basketball IQ he gained were outstanding, what truly set WDBA apart was its focus on building character. The academy emphasized respect, discipline, hard work, and getting the very best out of each player — lessons that extended far beyond the court. As a parent, it was reassuring to know that my son was being coached not just to be a better athlete, but to be a better young man. MY GAME REACHED NEW HEIGHTS I began working with the Willie Diggs Basketball Academy during the summer of 2020. During this time covid was very prominent and it was very hard to get in the gym. Willie and his staff took me in and as I began working out with them, my game reached new heights as I started on my varsity basketball team as a sophomore. I stayed with The Academy until my junior year of high school. I was taught endless amounts of information and my skill set would not have developed the same way without it.
THE RESULTS WERE HIGHLY OBSERVABLE I admire and respect what Willie Diggs and team have accomplished. I entrusted my son, Samuel, to his leadership and oversight, and the results as a basketball player were highly observable, and now several years later, his progression into manhood, utilizing the mental and discipline skills that Willie taught, are manifesting in a big way.
